A Winter Wonderland in Bellevue, WA

By December 22, 2022No Comments

If you thought that the Pacific Northwest was beautiful during the fall, then take a moment to enjoy how gorgeous the winter is. Whether there’s snow that blankets streets or that crisp chill in the air, winter has never looked better. It does, however, mean that there is much more indoor activity than outdoor.

We’re here to guide you through the winter wonderland of Bellevue, WA, and all the incredible things you can do. Some of it will include being cozied up indoors, but be prepared to bundle up and face the snowy winter weather.

Dashing Through The Snow

If the Pacific Northwest has a claim on anything, it’s having great activities to do in the snow. Whether you’re a world-class skier or just want to play around, we have it all. For those who are interested in skiing or snowboarding, Western Washington has several great mountains to choose from, but the closest is Crystal Mountain. You can also take a gorgeous gondola ride with views of Mt. Rainier. For those of you just looking to have fun, it’s only a 45-minute drive to Summit Tubing Park where you can slide down a hill all day.

If snowmobiling or snowshoeing is more your speed, we suggest driving out to the Last Resort in Snoqualmie Pass. It’s an hour-long drive, but well worth the views.

Keeping Warm By The Fire

For those of you who prefer to keep warm, Bellevue has a hub of activities for you to enjoy. Apart from the museums and shopping centers, there are some fantastic events taking place this winter. For our board game lovers, we suggest you attend the Eastside Winter “Snowsocial” where you can enjoy free treats and board games on January 6th.

If you want to learn a new skill, Echo Falls Golf Club is hosting a floral design class for those beautiful winter white flowers. Finally, explore the world below your feet with a Winter Botany Class.

Cheerful Noise

One of the best things about winter is the festive parties you can attend and lucky for you, we have a couple of favorites. If you thought that ugly sweater parties stopped at Christmas, you would be wrong because Two Beers Brewing is hosting the Third Annual Ugly Sweater Ball on December 28th. Grab your ugliest sweater and head on over because admission is free.

To welcome the new year, we suggest attending the Apres Ski New Year’s Eve party at Thompson Seattle. There are many different accommodations from dinner to brunch, but be sure to dress in your nicest black tie attire. We hope the winter blues will be washed away with these fun cold-weather activities.
