These Bellevue Parks Are An Urban Oasis

By October 27, 2022No Comments

If there’s one thing to know about the pacific northwest, it’s that the outdoors are always where you want to be. Whether it be hiking on the mountains or taking a stroll in a park, our foliage is something to marvel at. Thankfully, there are plenty of parks to choose from near Surrey on Main. Our parks offer a wide variety of activities from taking a walk to playing a game of pickleball, so join us as we discover them all.

Just a Jaunt

The autumn weather in Washington state is dreamy with the reds and oranges all around, so it is always a good idea to take a walk, we just ask that you remember an umbrella. Here are our favorite parks to stroll through on a crisp fall day. Though it sounds quite spooky, there is no lovelier place to be than Phantom Lake Park. You can walk through tall trees and a still lake and enjoy the serenity Bellevue, Wa has to offer. Another leisurely jaunt through some magical woods would be at Robinswood Park.

If the rolling hills and foggy mornings are what get you out of bed, then you can visit Lewis Creek Park. Note their clean and kept-up public bathrooms, which make any walk better.

Let’s Play Ball

Bellevue, Wa has beautiful parks for every type of person, so for those who want to get a workout in, here are the parks for you. A basketball court with lots of privacy for those early morning scrimmages can be found at Cherry Crest Mini Park. Anyone moving to Washington will participate in our state’s sport at least once, so grab your pickleball paddles and drive up to Hillaire Park. Take advantage of the free outdoor courts before moving to a club.

Classic tennis courts can be found near and far, but our favorite spot is at Lakemont Park. Get your sweat on all around Bellevue.

Waterside Wonders

There’s something calming about sitting on a beach or taking a walk along the water, especially with pacific northwest fog settling over the lakes. Chism Lake will feel like you’ve stepped onto the set of a movie with its natural beauty. It’s perfect for an early morning walk or a dip after a workout. The most popular beach where you can catch a glimpse of the city and lounge around is Meydenbauer Bay Park. Get there early to beat the crowds.

The last stop on our park extravaganza is the beautiful Clyde Beach Park, the perfect place to bring a picnic. No matter where you go or how nice the day is, you should always bring a jacket.
